1st Day of School!

Today was the boys' first day of school!  Ryan is in 2nd grade and Aaron is in 6th!  Wow, that makes me feel old!  Aaron stayed in his home room today, but will get to meet his other teachers tomorrow.  He didn't get in the class with one of his good friends, but they will get to see each other during lunch and recess.  Ryan has several kids from his class last year, so he was excited when he got home.  Of course, we kept with tradition and had cookie dough for a snack when they got home.  Actually, I had it waiting for them in the car when I picked them up!  Ryan said he wished it could be the first day of school every day! :)

One good thing about having two boys: they could care less about "back to school" clothes.  I offered to at least buy them a new shirt for the first day, and since that meant shopping, I got a "no thank you."  When I asked what they wanted to wear their first day, both said they didn't care.  I thought surely there was a certain shirt they may want to wear, but again I got "I seriously don't care what I wear to school.  Whatever you pick out is fine."  I go to pick Ryan up from school and hear a little girl talking about her new outfit, and the one she's going to wear tomorrow.  Oh the difference in boys and girls!  I'm so glad we have 2 boys!

Music & Drama Camp

Aaron went to a music/drama camp at church last week.  It was the first one he's went to, but he had a lot of fun.  He was a Roman guard, and did really well with his part!

60th Wedding Anniversary

Today the family got together to celebrate my grandparent's 60th wedding anniversary!

Aaron sat on their back porch trying to get a good pic of the hummingbirds.  He ended up getting several good ones!

Boot Camp VBS

The kids have been going to VBS with Grandma Kathy.  It was boot camp themed, and they had a lot of fun!

Ryan's new gun

Ryan has been saving his money, and bought a 22 rifle with it.  He is so excited and ready to go hunting!

Ryan's Party in McAlester

We kept the Star Wars theme for Ryan's party here in McAlester.  We had family over, and the boys' friend Michael was there, too.  It was another fun one!

Who needs cake when you have Oreo Layer Dessert!?

Ryan has asked for this little bomb speaker almost every time we check out at Wal-Mart.  Now it's finally his!

Clark wanted to help with the gifts.

Avery liked our light sabers.

Clark didn't want to be in the group picture.  :(

After (and before) the party it was fun in the pool!

Clark had fun in the pool, too!

I can't believe my baby is now 8!  Where does time go!

Ryan's 8th Birthday

Ryan had a Star Wars themed party.  We had it at the Monett church, and invited friends and family.

Tia Silvia made the cakes, and Aunt Dawn made the cupcakes.  They not only looked good, but were delicious!
