Happy Halloween!

My favorite trick-or-treaters!

Ryan helped me hand out candy.  We had a record of 13 trick-or-treaters this year!

Hunters

Hunting has begun!  Denny has taken the boys out a few times, but so far they haven't killed anything.  Ryan did shoot one with his crossbow, but they never could find it.  :(

Friday Night Football

Friday night the 8th grade band played with the high school during pregame, and then also the 1st two quarters.  It was super hot, but Aaron really enjoyed it.  My brother's family set on the other end of the bleachers, so the kids took turns sitting with us.  It was a fun night!

Cross Country in Durant

Saturday morning Aaron had a 3K in Durant.  His time was 14:09 and he was 3rd place in 8th grade!

We love camping!

This past weekend we went to our favorite (or at least my favorite) place.  Belle Starr!

The water was so low we took a walk along the beach.

This is a big piece of Styrofoam someone has hid in the bushes.  Probably saving it to play with it in the lake next year.

Oh my handsome man!  He looks like he should be on the cover of an outdoor magazine!

Brady sitting in Grandpa's chair.  He was in the trailer & she was waiting for him to come out and find her!

Avery was ready to go with her bike gloves.

Clark having fun with Grandpa.

Feeding the fish at the marina.  They weren't too hungry that day, but we did see some good sized catfish!

Denny and Aaron came up Saturday afternoon and stayed the night.  It was short, but we're glad they were able to come out!

Cross Country

This was the first cross country meet Denny and I were able to go to.  It was a short one, just one mile, but it was fun to watch him.  Wish I had better pictures, but you can tell by the look on his face he didn't want us taking this one.

The meet was in Henryetta, and there was a beautiful lake and beach area not far from where Aaron ran.  I told Ryan I sure wished this was the view from our back porch!

1st Day of School

Well, we survived the 1st day of school, and are already a few weeks in now.  Aaron started 8th grade, and Ryan started 4th.  So far Aaron has stayed very busy with all his activities, which means Denny and I are always busy too!  So proud of both our boys!

Braces!

BEFORE:

AFTER:

Today we started phase 1 of braces.  He was excited and is ready for his teeth to be straight.  Hopefully it will only be a year or less, and not too painful.  In case you can't see, he picked his favorite color, green, for the rubber bands.

Ryan's Party at Home

My parents filled Ryan's room with balloons for when we got home from MO.  There were so many he slept in the living room, which he does a lot anyway.  :)

Wow, I can't believe these are my 2 babies!!!

M&M ice cream dessert.  YUM!

My brother thought the gift bag was funny.  Ryan didn't care, cause he got the cap guns he'd been wanting!

He also got this video game chair.

Fun in the pool with the cousins.  Brady was in a kiddie pool under the tree.  She didn't want her picture taken that night.  :)

The next day we took the boys to Tulsa to SkyZone & to watch The Secret Life of Pets at the theater. Ryan's friend was going to go, but he had to move unexpectedly.  Ryan still had a fun day, though!

Ryan's Birthday Party in MO

We also celebrated Ryan's 10th birthday while in MO.  Instead of a cake he wanted a candy buffet & blew out his candles on a Fancy Cake!

He really wanted a remote control boat.  Unfortunately it only worked a few times and we've already had to return it.  :(

Playing with the boat in Uncle Darrin's pool.

Hanging out with the cousins.  Wish we could see them more often.  Once a year just isn't enough!

50th Anniversary

Over the 4th of July weekend we went to MO and celebrated Ken & Paula's 50th wedding anniversary!

Two special friends to the Dodson Family: Debbie Davis and Susan Hall.

Of course we had fireworks that evening!

Our little Daisy...wish we could see her more often!

All the kids loved the firework show.  Darrin outdid himself!

We also took family pictures that day, and I'll post some of them later.  After 50 years of marriage I think they're even more in love than when they got married.  There were some embarrassing moments of them kissing that proved it!
