Happy Halloween!

Aaron carving his pumpkin.  Denny and I helped some, but he did most of it.  (in case you can't tell, it says "Fright This Way"

Me & my sweet girl, Avery!

Wish I could've got a better picture of William's spiked hair.  He always has good costumes!

Ryan & Aaron before they go trick or treating.  Aaron didn't want to dress up this year, and Ryan barely did.  He wanted the Army hat and canteen at Wal-Mart, so I told him he could have it, if he was an Army man for Halloween.  I'm sick with bronchitis (feels more like the flu), so Denny has to take them by himself.  It's my first year not to go. :(

Fore!

Friday morning we played golf at Fountain Head.  It was cooler than expected, but wasn't too bad once Denny showed me how to put the shield on the front of the golf cart.  It was a fun, no score, enjoy being together, 9 holes of golf.  My favorite kind!
Crazy drivers!  Actually, Ryan took off across the green once while I was getting a ball.  His eyes were huge, and he was so excited.  I was screaming for  him to stop, and all I could think was "this is not going to end well!"

Denny and the boys.

Ryan won't let me and Denny take a picture by ourselves!

I've missed spending time with my boys...this was a lot of fun!
This was our hole in one. :) (just kidding)
This was our last hole.  Wish we could play more often!

Bike Trail

Denny and I took off work Thursday & Friday for fall break, so we could spend some time with the boys.  On Thursday, we played golf at Fountain Head, and then went on a bike trail they have there.  We had a lot of fun!
Picnicing before our ride.

Playing by the pond where we picniced.
Denny and the boys on the bike trail.  I left our extra clothes at home, so we had to ride in our golfing clothes.  We also forgot helmets, so they were warned to be very careful, and no messing around!

We made it without one wreck!

The bike trail was beautiful, and I'm hoping we can go on it again soon.  Unfortunately time is just going too fast right now!!

More Random Pics

 Crazy boys
 Sweet boys.
Ryan with Great Grandma & Great Grandpa Romine
 Clark enjoying his baby food.
The boys were helping Daddy make jerky.  (No I wasn't home, which is why Aaron is on the counter.)
Okay, now I'm home, so no more boys on the counter!
On a side note, Denny said they were really good helpers, and did most of it themselves!

Camping

Here are a few pics of our camping trip a few weeks ago.  As always we had a lot of fun!

It was too cold for the adults to swim, but the kids didn't mind.

Avery's hair would stand on end every time she came down the slide.

The water is so low, we got to walk around on places that were usually under water.

Trying to take a picture with my hubby, but do you notice little fingers that snuck into the picture?

We had a lot of fun bike rides!

Random Pics

Okay, it's been a loooong time since I've posted pictures, so I'm just going to do a few random ones for now.  In my defense things have been very busy lately.  I'll try to post pictures of our camping trip soon!

Denny with his new bow.  I'm not sure what sob story he told his mom, but she went ahead and gave him Christmas money early.  :)  So, I gave him his birthday money too, and he went out and bought this.  There is no telling what our neighbors think when he's out in the yard shooting!

Family Bike Ride

Denny is really getting into this bike riding thing, so we decided it was time to get me one.  That way we can start having family bike rides!

I know my eyes are closed, but this is a good view of the trail we just came up.

As you can see we didn't make it to the top of the hill, but this was Ryan's & my first time to ride it, and we didn't want to over do it.  (in other words I was tired!)  We stopped here and had a family Bible study.  It was awesome!

So, if you've been following the blog you know that we took Ryan's training wheels off just a few days ago, and he's doing great.  I remember a lot of bike wrecks growing up, so going down hill and riding on gravel still make me nervous.  Denny and Aaron flew down the hill, but I made Ryan walk with me.  Once we hit asphalt I couldn't hold him back, though.  I stayed on my breaks (still scared to go fast down the hill), and tried to keep warning Ryan to do the same.  Unfortunately time slowed and I knew what was going to happen.  Ryan screamed "woo  hoo"...I screamed "slow down now!!", and then he flew over his bike and skidded on the road.  My stomach is in knots just thinking about it.  I cannot describe the fear, helplessness, and blame I felt.  I immediately dropped my bike and ran to him.  (he was quite a bit ahead of me) He was screaming and bloody, and when he saw his bicycle bell a few feet away he started crying that his bell was broke.  Denny didn't hear me screaming at him, but noticed we had stopped and came to check on us.  He then booked it on home and brought back the truck to get us.  Luckily I had just bought a first aid kit to keep on my bike, so we used that until we could get home. He looked horrible last night, but today is much better.  His glasses cut his nose, and I'm guessing the helmet is what got his forehead.  This morning he let me take a picture, and he's already asking when he can ride his bike again!
