First weekend of Camping!

This weekend we kicked off the camping season at Belle Starr.  We didn't get to stay as long as normal, but it was still fun.  We tried out our new tent, and realized the nights are still pretty cool!  Ryan stayed in the trailer, but Aaron stayed in the tent with Denny and I.  Wish we could have stayed longer!

Garden

Not sure how well this will turn out, but we're trying our hand at a garden.  I've never been good at growing things, but at least we had fun working together as a family!

Our New Tent

We decided to buy a tent for camping.  During the summer we always stay in Mom and Dad's trailer, but we're hoping in spring and fall we can go out for the weekend for fishing and biking trips.  We set it up in the yard, and the boys have loved playing in it!

Can't wait to look at the stars at night!

Robbers Cave

Our Sunday School class spent the day at Robbers Cave today.  I haven't been there since I was a kid, and this was Denny's first time.  I may be a little sore tomorrow but we had a lot of fun!

While Denny fished, the boys and I rented a paddle boat.  I lucked out, and the boys did most of the pedaling!

Avery had t-ball this morning, so they got there after we were done climbing the rocks.

My Birthday!

Denny made sure I had a wonderful birthday today.  He actually started spoiling me this weekend.  I had to work at an auction on Saturday, so he and the boys were busy with my surprises.  They went and picked up our new dryer (we had to keep rescheduling the delivery), and they bought my birthday presents.  A new plant for the porch, and a Weeping Willow (aka The Whomping Willow) for our backyard.  I've always wanted one, so I was very excited and surprised when I got home Saturday.

Then, this morning, I woke up to hot donuts from Daylight Donuts.  He had me blow out a candle and then sang Happy Birthday to me.  Sweet!

Hmm...just realized we're all wearing red shirts.  Wasn't planned, but hey red is a good color!

Track

Aaron had a track meet at school last week.  They haven't practiced too much, but it was a good experience for them.  He runs better than his mom!

Buffalo Fun Run

 Denny and Aaron ran in the Buffalo Fun Run this weekend.  Aaron ran the whole mile without stopping.  We're very proud of him....and impressed!

Dad's New Boat

Last weekend Dad pulled up with a big surprise!  The guys can't wait to go fishing with him!
